Job 24:2-12 (New International Version)

2 Men move boundary stones;
they pasture flocks they have stolen.

3 They drive away the orphan's donkey
and take the widow's ox in pledge.

4 They thrust the needy from the path
and force all the poor of the land into hiding.

5 Like wild donkeys in the desert,
the poor go about their labor of foraging food;
the wasteland provides food for their children.

6 They gather fodder in the fields
and glean in the vineyards of the wicked.

7 Lacking clothes, they spend the night naked;
they have nothing to cover themselves in the cold.

8 They are drenched by mountain rains
and hug the rocks for lack of shelter.

9 The fatherless child is snatched from the breast;
the infant of the poor is seized for a debt.

10 Lacking clothes, they go about naked;
they carry the sheaves, but still go hungry.

11 They crush olives among the terraces a]">[a] ;
they tread the winepresses, yet suffer thirst.

12 The groans of the dying rise from the city,
and the souls of the wounded cry out for help.
But God charges no one with wrongdoing.

Psalm 10:14-18 (New International Version)

14 But you, O God, do see trouble and grief;
you consider it to take it in hand.
The victim commits himself to you;
you are the helper of the fatherless.

15 Break the arm of the wicked and evil man;
call him to account for his wickedness
that would not be found out.

16 The LORD is King for ever and ever;
the nations will perish from his land.

17 You hear, O LORD, the desire of the afflicted;
you encourage them, and you listen to their cry,

18 defending the fatherless and the oppressed,
in order that man, who is of the earth, may terrify no more.

Through His Eyes

Not Forgotten. Looking at the streets of Kampala, Uganda through the eyes of God. Seeing those who feel invisible, remembering those who feel forgotten, those who are suffering. The heart of Not Forgotten is to see the broken with the eyes of Jesus and to reach out with His hands in tangible ways.

Not Forgotten has already begun. God has brought together a group of passionate young Ugandans with hearts on fire to change the world they live in for Christ. During my first trip to Uganda this group became like my family and we believe God has joined us together to carry out His call. Since I returned to the U.S. eight months ago, we have continued to stay connected through distance and time. God has opened the doors as Not Forgotten has recently been approved and registered as an N.G.O (non government organization) in Uganda! What was supposed to be a 6 month process was by God's hand accomplished in 1 month!

Our hearts have been captured by the estimated 5,000 street children who live in Kampala. Many of them are forced to leave their homes due to abusive and/or neglectful living conditions. Some leave as they become orphans. Some are displaced due to the war in Northern Uganda. Many children have been forced to be part of the L.R.A (Lord's Resistance Army) which is a brutal group of rebels who take innocent children and turn them into soldiers to fight in a war they know nothing of. In Kampala you will find wandering little children coming up to cars as they stop, begging for money, food, or anything you will give them. These children have no place to lay their heads, they dig in dumpsters for food. They know nothing of their worth or love besides what they learn from the streets. This is where we begin.

We believe that God will provide a building, enabling us to bring children in off the streets so that we may give them a meal, establish relationships, and share the love of Jesus with them. Our goal is to see many children get off the streets completely and into a home where they will be cared for and able to flourish in their lives. Our prayer is to make contact with surrounding churches and that God will provide more servants to help in this vision.

As we continue the work God has set before us, we plan to also reach out to the disabled, at risk youth, prisoners, the elderly and those caught in prostitution. We want to help them attain the abundant life God has destined for them. Our vision is to help these that are hurting to see that their worth is priceless and that they are unconditionally loved by the Father.

Not Forgotten will be formally introduced to the public in Uganda on September 10th. People will have the opportunity to become part of the ministry as they embrace the heart of our vision. I will be returning to Africa to join the team September 14th for a month! I am beyond excited!

Edmond Burke said-"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." This quote stirs my heart. In this fallen world, suffering is common and evil seems to prevail. The darkness is continually fighting and being fueled. But we hold the remedy. The LIGHT OF JESUS overtakes the darkness when his children FIGHT BACK and press on in battle. God is on our side and we are meant to fight! We have the victory in HIM! If the enemy can have this much influence and power in this world how much more POWER do we possess as we have God's LIGHT, LOVE, and SPIRIT within us that CONSUMES and OVERTAKES ALL DARKNESS.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. If you are feeling led, please help us fight in this battle to see the broken restored and the beaten down lifted up. Help us to bring a little bit of Heaven down to earth to these people who have felt so much pain in their lives. We need prayer warriors! If you feel led to give a financial gift or if you want to help in ANY way please let us know!

We are connected to The Cause, a non profit in Bend, Oregon that helps launch and manage the dreams and visions God gives individuals. If you would like to give a donation to Not Forgotten go to www.thecause.org, click on "DONATE", then on the bar that says "General" specify your gift by scrolling down to "Not Forgotten-Uganda".

Again thank you so much for taking time to read this. May God bless your socks off! :)

Bless you,

Kelly
